Week 3
We would like to thank everyone who came along to the three-way conferences last week. These are a great way to celebrate the children's learning and look at what the children will be learning next.
Today is the Feast Day of Mary MacKillop and we will be celebrating this on Friday. We celebrate this with Mass on Friday at 12pm. Parents and families are welcome to join us. We have other fun activities to celebrate with the children during the day.
Please remember school starts at 8:45am. The teachers mark the roll at this time. If your children arrive after this time they need to go to the office as they are late.
Keeping Ourselves Safe
There is a community hui at St Mary's School on Monday 9 August, 5.15-6pm, in Room 14, where I will explain what the Keeping Ourselves Safe programme entails, and share some tips about keeping your young ones safe. You are encouraged to attend.
Next Sunday, the parish has a Māori Miha (Māori Mass) at 10.00 am followed by a procession carrying the Statue of Mother Mary around the Church and our school. All students from the schools are invited to join the procession with their parents at 11.00 am in front of St Mary’s Church. There is a shared lunch after the procession that everyone is invited to and families are asked to bring a plate to share.
