Term 2 Week 1

Welcome back. We all hope you had a lovely break and that the children are coming back refreshed.  We have lots of information today so please make sure you read to the end. This week we welcome Maia, Samuel, Anton, Che’, Ethan, Amaya, Alex, Micah and Maria to our Kakano whanau. Morning Jobs: Please remember parents it is important for the children to carry their own school bags, mark their roll and put their Bookbag in the right box on their own.  It is great to see our tamariki becoming more independent each day.  Uniform: This term we change to the winter school uniform, Please make sure everything is named. Week 3

Kia ora Whānau THIS TUESDAY Tuesday 2nd November at 2.30pm, our staff, along with teachers from St Michael’s Rotorua, St Mary’s Putararu and Bishop Edward Gaines in Tokoroa are involved in Titiro Whakamuri kia haere whakamua Professional Development. We will need to finish school at 2.15pm on that Tuesday so I ask that you pick your child up at 2.15pm. If you require after school care you can ring Maryanne Roling from Glenholme Afterschool Care. Week 6

  Welcome to week 6 of Term 1. This week we move back to Level 1 which means parents are allowed back into our classrooms.  We are so proud of the way the children are able to manage themselves each day as they do their morning jobs.  You can support your child to become independent by encouraging them to carry their own school bag and to complete their morning routines. It is still important if your child is sick that they do not attend school.  Snotty noses, coughs and tummy bugs have been doing the rounds.  Please keep your child at home if they are unwell! The First Aiders are fundraising this week and will have ice blocks for sale Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If your child would like to purchase an ice block they can bring $1 to school.
